Bored with playing the same old game levels over and over again? Want to be able to create your own characters, vehicles, and levels for you games? Then head on over to this GMAX's web site and see the solution they have come up with for you. This program was even featured in the July 2002 edition of Game Pro magazine. Originally announced at Quakecon 2001, gmax was designed to allow the gamers (as well as the developers) to create new and exciting levels and characters for some of their favorite games like Quake III, Freedom Force, The Sims, and many more coming. This program is completely FREE (with only a registration on the programs site) to all web surfing, game loving, level creating, game players! The site contains the free version of the program which is fully functional and is so good that Microsoft plans to release a gmax update pack allowing you to create your own Siege levels and characters. Though user be warned, this is not something that can be mastered in a day or even a week. In fact, if you're likely to get bored off all the numbers and precision that comes with creating some really kicking work, then you might want to think twice before downloading the 20+ MB download. Otherwise, go over and check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Game Studio 3D is a program or rather a complete package that allows you to create your very own games. Games like the 3D Hunting series created back in 1999 that included 3D Deer Hunter. You have control over everything from the levels to the appearance and action of the characters it's ALL under your control. You can create a 1st person shooter game by simply clicking together pre made scripts, OR you can create vast, deep, kick @$$ games and even other types of programs. The language used is based on C++ and if you know C++ or DELPHI then you should have no trouble picking up the language. The program comes with a huge PDF format manual that you can use to help you get a grasp of the language in just one week! Not to mention the many tutorials and game examples that all the users of the program have built for you to use. You can even sell your games with NO ROYALTIES!!!! You can also enter your creations into contest constantly being held by conitec in which you could win a free upgrade to the next version of the program (Commercial, Pro, etc.). With things like the ability to add multiplayer support, beam and particle effects, and tons of other effects there is no reason not to get this program. You can download a 30 day trial version to see if you like it. You can even use that to create a game and enter it into the contest. Who knows, people might be seeing your games on store selves in the near future.
How cool would it be to make money off fighting your own custom built robots? Well, unless you have a couple hundred or even thousand to blow, that is not going to happen...or is it? Now it can, on-line anyway, with Roboforge. For a small price you can buy Roboforge and begin creating and programing you very own fighting robots. Then for about 5 bucks, you can enter them on-line in battles in which you could make some major money (we are talking in the thousand dollar range here possibly). Talk about your summer jobs. This could make you some major cash this summer and you won't even have to ask "Would you like fries with that?"
